FIRST WEEK OF JUNE - WE GO TO CANCUN. IT'S GOD'S LAW.
Patty and I own a time share week at the Royal Sands Hotel in Cancun. We have been going there every year for one week at a time since year 2000. A while back we thought about selling it since we had visited most of the ruins and cities along the Caribbean coast. Then we fell upon the idea of taking friends. What a concept. We have been doing this for a number of years and have had great times showing our best friends the sights. It has really renewed our inteest in vacationing in Mexico.
The ROYAL SANDS HOTEL is a part of the first developers in Cancun. We enjoy the thought and experience these folks have put into our vacation. Whenever we are about the grounds, every single worker always greets us as friends and guests. This has never failed to be the case. The building is more like a marble palace and is maintained to the utmost unbelievable standards. In fact, our hotel is one of a group of five and we have resident rights at them all. There is a theatre right on the property for great shows and food, also a great palapa restaurant on the lagoon, the Captain's Cove, with open air dining, and a galleon for dining on the water. We go every year and are so familiar with the place that it is just like going home. What a great spot.
And then, there's Cancun. It is the Riviera of Mexico. Great shoping centers, open Mexican markets, cantinas and every popular eatery known to man.
Every Royal Resorts hotel has two huge swimmingpools. This is the first thing you see as you pass through the entry at the Sands.
This is the galleon at the Captain's Cove on the lagoon. Great dinners on board.
The white sand beach in front of the hotel. Had a wedding going on this day.
Don and Pat Stapleton joined us in 08. They had a great time. I spent the entire week in ICU with pneumonia. Not so much fun but I had great doctors.
One of the residents. These guys are everywhere.
John and Leeann Quiroz joined us for our annual trip to Caancun in 2010. Here they are relaxing at the hotel.

At Zcaret, a popular Mayan ruin destination, there is an underground river that runs about half mile through which guests can swim. Here John and Leeann are getting underway.
