Born in Nevada in 1938. Raised in many western states.  Previously from Idaho, Arizona, California, and all points West. An alumnus from Arizona State and Boise State Universities. I lived in Hawaii for 25 years and in 2005 Patty and I moved to Portland, Oregon to live in a floating home on the Columbia River. I have with some mileage at age 72 but holding up well. Since 1996 I have been with Pat Murphy. In Hawaii we lived high on the ridge above Pearl Harbor in her family home. Retired as the Facilities Engineer with Hawaiian Electric Co. in 2000. Then for three and half years served as Senior Vice President of WSF Corporation (now Belizea Corporation), a publicly traded company with large holdings in the Central American country of Belize. Also have various entrepreneurial interests. I have enjoyed skiing at Telluride, Vail, and most western ski areas, traveling in Mexico, Central America and Philippines, was a licensed yacht Captain for 20 years and enjoy sailboat racing and cruising in Hawaii, the Caribbean and the Bahamas, scuba diving anywhere, enjoy country western and square dancing in Hawaii, if you can believe that. I'm Past Master of my Masonic Lodge, the King Kalakaua Daylight Lodge, F&AM, in Honolulu, now consolidated into the Loge le Progres de l' Oceanie. In Portland I served as the Master of Washington Masonic Lodge No. 46 AF&AM and at the head of the three York Rite bodies. I am very active in Masonry and you can see my Masonic web page for these achievements.  As a past Rotarian I earned several Rotarian of the Month awards for service to the community, in 2002 served as Honorary Commodore of the International Yachting Fellowship of Rotarians and am a Paul Harris Fellow.  Patty and I are both presently very active in the US Coast Guard Auxiliary.  In Hawaii Patty was a Coast Guare Auxiliary Air Observer and flew frequently to protect our homeland shores and I served as a Flotilla Commander and two terms as District Staff Officer; one for Public Education and another as Member Training Officer in Hawaii.  Currently I am an active Coxswain.  Patty has qualified as surface operations crew and we go out on Coast Guard Auxiliary patrols regularly.  I have been knighted on several occasions and Patty has also knighted as a Dame of the Order of St Helen.   See our Knighthood page for details.  This is the brief form revised in September of 2010.
